When should my child get braces ?

American Association of Orthodontists suggests:
    Children should get their first orthodontic evaluation with an orthodontic specialist before age 7.

   

    This is because certain types malocclusions (bad bites) will be easier to correct when patients are younger. If parents wait until all their adult teeth erupt, sometimes it might be late to correct certain aspect of skeletal growth that's related to bite formation.
